The inaugural day of Abhivyakti 2024, the highly anticipated Cultural Week of Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur, unfolded with splendor, creativity, and an electrifying celebration of culture, tradition and talent. The entire school reverberated with artistic energy, showcasing the synergy of diverse cultures and youthful dynamism.

The day began with an inaugural ceremony that symbolized the dispelling of ignorance through the light of knowledge. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was followed by the soul-stirring Sarva Dharma Prayer, which celebrated the unity of faiths and diversity of traditions. This serene commencement paved the way for a series of breathtaking performances.
The first half of the programme captivated the audience with the Bal Mandir’s Shiv Tandav Stotram, a powerful invocation honoring Lord Shiva. This was succeeded by Fashion Show, a poignant representation of India's diverse culture. The cheerful Old McDonald Farm Dance then infused the event with youthful exuberance and charm.
The Orchard Skit provided a blend of humour and moral reflection, followed by the mesmerizing Rajasthani Folk Dance, which transported the audience to the heart of India’s cultural diversity. The Dindi Dance enthralled the audience with its rhythmic expressions and devotion, a heartfelt tribute to Maharashtra’s rich cultural traditions. The skit-Vinayak further enriched the lineup with its evocative portrayal of individuality and adaptability. A western dance showcased intricate movements and choreography. This segment also celebrated the festival of Diwali as Unique Item incorporating its vibrant traditions and joyous spirit into the programme, filling the atmosphere with festivity Artistic fillers enriched the experience with their dynamic performances.
The segment included the Chief Guest’s inspiring address, which commended the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing artistic talent. The vote of thanks for the first half was delivered with poise by Miss Raveena Nair, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants and dignitaries.
The second half of the day commenced with a Devotional Group song, enveloping the audience in a spiritual aura. This was followed by an energetic Radha Krishna Raas Garba, which vividly depicted the divine bond of Radha and Krishna through graceful movements and captivating expressions. A stellar English drama titled ‘Waiting for Godot’ left the audience reflecting on profound existential themes.
The Chinese Global dance served as a testament to the universal language of dance. A unique item celebrating the bravery of India’s soldiers brought patriotic fervor to the stage, honoring their unwavering dedication to duty and responsibility.
As the second half drew to a close, Miss Nirmiti Jain delivered the vote of thanks, eloquently acknowledging the efforts of the performers, the tireless guidance of the teachers, and the support of the Principal Shri Lalit Dinkar Joshi.
The comperes, Mast. Soumya Malu , Miss Jaina Nakhat , Miss Muskaan Parekh, Miss Ajara Siras, Miss Yashaswi Bhosle, Miss Kinjal Maroo played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of events. Their poise, eloquence, and enthusiasm elevated the charm of the proceedings.

Day-3 Cultural Splendor Unfolds: Day 3 of Abhivyakti 2024
The third day of Abhivyakti 2024 radiated enthusiasm, creativity, and cultural richness, leaving an indelible mark on the audience. The day was structured into two engaging sessions and witnessed the participation of Lotus House Junior, and Daffodil House Senior whose students enthralled the audience with their diverse performances. The presence Respective Judges, Dr Saurabh Kubde Parent Representative School Management Committee, Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur, Dr. Kanchan Jaiswal, Vice Chairperson, Executive Committee of Parent Teacher Association added a celebratory ambiance to the occasion.
The morning session commenced on a divine note with an invocation dance dedicated to Lord Shiva. The melodious rendition was not only a spiritual offering but also a testament to the vocal prowess of the young performers. The soulful hymn set a reverential tone for the day, captivating everyone present and connected the soul to the divine power. This was followed by a mesmerizing folk-dance performance that paid homage to the vibrant traditions of Madhya Pradesh. The sequence of different dances of Madhya Pradesh was skillfully woven together in one performance, presenting a tableau of the state's cultural wealth. The colourful costumes and spirited choreography brought alive the essence of Madhya Pradesh's heritage, earning resounding applause from the audience. An inspiring English skit, titled ‘The Eternal Gift’, took center stage next. It explored the profound theme of organ donation, intertwining it with the virtues of selflessness and compassion inspired by the teachings of Bhagwat Gita. The young actors delivered a heartfelt performance, blending emotion and storytelling with finesse, leaving the audience deeply moved and reflective. The rhythm of the event shifted with a global dance performance, inspired by the high-energy and dynamic African dance forms. The students brought the stage to life with their infectious enthusiasm, pulsating beats, and synchronized movements. The electrifying performance transported the audience to the vibrant landscapes of Africa.The session culminated with an evocative presentation Navras reflecting human emotions using the tools of dance and expression. This creative act delved into the myriad facets of emotions, portraying joy, sorrow, anger, fear, love etc through a combination of expressive movements and artistic storytelling. The nuanced performances of the young artists showcased their deep understanding of human experiences, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
The second session commenced with a harmonious devotional song, beautifully weaving together hymns dedicated to various gods and goddesses. The soulful melodies resonated with the audience, filling the air with a sense of peace and divinity.Next, the stage came alive with the energetic beats of Bhangra, the traditional dance of Punjab. The vibrant costumes, synchronized movements, and high-spirited performance brought the joyous essence of Punjabi culture to life, leaving the audience clapping and cheering.Following this was an insightful English skit titled, ‘Lost in the Frame’, which delved into the impact of social media on relationships and individuality. The young performers delivered a thought-provoking message through their engaging acting and relatable scenarios, encouraging the audience to reflect on the balance between the digital and real world. The global dance of the session took inspiration from Russian dance forms, showcasing the elegance and precision of this art. The performers dazzled with their colorful attire and intricate choreography, offering the audience a glimpse into Russia's rich cultural heritage. The session concluded with a unique item titled ‘Anokha Samudra Manthan’. This creative performance reimagined the mythical story of the churning of the ocean, blending traditional and contemporary elements like artificial intelligence, online gaming, online scams etc. The innovative ideas, dramatic expressions, and symbolic representation made it a fitting finale for the day. All the fillers of the day were truly a Kaleidoscope of talent.
The seamless flow of events was ensured by the four comperes namely Miss Angel Wase, Mast Sahil Verulkar, Miss Neeti Barde and Miss Prisha Sagole whose poise and confidence kept the audience engaged throughout. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Mast Harshit Khungar and Miss Jaina Nakhat, expressing deep gratitude to the Judges, Parent Representatives, and the school community for their invaluable support in making the event a success.

Day - 4 A Symphony of Art & Expression at Abhivyakti 2024
The fourth day of Abhivyakti 2024 at Bhavan's Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur was a captivating celebration of artistic excellence and diverse cultural narratives. Esteemed Guests Smt. AnnapoornlShastri,Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan,Nagpur Kendra,Dr. Saurabh Kubde,Parent Representative,School Management Committee, Smt. Ritika Jumanl Joint Secretary, Executive Committee of Parent Teacher Association, Bhavan's B.P.Vidya Mandir Srikrishna Nagar,Nagpur and honourable judges added a special vibrancy to the event. The day's schedule was divided into two enthralling sessions-morning and afternoon-featuring outstanding performances by the Jasmine Junior House and Lotus Senior House. Before the vibrant sessions of Day 4 began, the Principal Shri Lalit Dinkar Joshi led the celebration of Constitution Day by highlighting the significance of the Preamble. The audience participated in a solemn moment of unity as they took a pledge to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution,setting a tone of respect and responsibility for the day's events.
The morning session opened with an Inspiring introduction by our charismatic comperes, who captivated the audience with their eloquence and enthusiasm. Jasmine Junior House Studentsinaugurated the performances with Ganesh Vandana Dance, a spir tually elevating act that filled the hall with serenity and grace. Maharashtra's Dindi Dance was next on the stage that brought the traditions of Maharashtra to life, mesmerizing the audience with its vivid costumes and intricate choreography.A standout moment was the skit titled, 'Magic of Kindness', which delivered a profound message on compassion and its ripple effect. n the Global segment, audiences were whisked away on a cultural journey through vibrant dances representing Mexico, Spain, and Singapore. Each performance showcased the rich heritage and exuberance of these regions. Concluding the morning sesSion was the spectacular Dasha Avatar, an extraordinary portrayal of the ten divine Incarnations of Lord Vishnu,which earned thunderous applause and admiration. The afternoon session featured the artistic flair of the Lotus House Senior. It began with a devotional song, a soul-st rring performance that deeply resonated with the audience. Foll owing this, the electrifying Shiv Malhari enthralled everyone with its high-energy execution and powerful depiction of Lord Khandoba's greatness. The English skit was a thought-provoking performance that shed light on the enduring issue of Gender stereotypes. The students brilliantly portrayed how traditional roles and expectations can influence societal dynamics. The message resonated with the audience, sparking meaningful reflections on embracing gender equality and individuality within families.The Turkish dance performance transported the audience to a world of bravery and resilience. Through thoughtful choreography and self explanatory facial expressions, the students depicted the life of a courageous warrior, showcasing themes of honour, perseverance, and sacrifice. The vibrant costumes and dynamic movements brought the tale alive, earning thunderous applause.
The unique presentation 'Prithvi Ka Samvad - Aateet Se Bhavishya Tak' was a mesmerizing performance ,beautifully illustrating the journey of Earth from its ancient begining to a hopeful future. Through a blend of narration, visuals, and expressive movements, the students highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability, leaving the audience deeply inspired to protect our shared home that is our mother earth.All the fillers were the intersection of talent and creativity. Both the sessions of the day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Miss Nishita Jumani and Mast. Samarth Taori, extending gratitude to the dignitaries, judges, parents, and the entire organizing team for their invaluable contributions to the event's success. The comperes Miss Shiloh Ayub, Mast. Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar strongly emphasizes that education means catering to the needs of our students with head, heart and hand i.e. employing mental, physical, personal and intra-personal skills in our students. In order to build them strong, enlightened, productive and sensible individuals, plethora of activities are organized in ‘Abhivyakti 2024’, a five day long cultural extravaganza, to hone their talents, skills and shed their inhibition of stage –fright through euphoric, energetic and scintillating presentations.

The distinguished Judges- Shri. Rishikesh Pohankar, a renowned National Bharatnatyam Awardee, Shri . Shirish Bhalerao, ‘A’ grade Staff artist of All India Radio, Shri. Nikhil Tongle, Established Actor –Director and Content creator, Smt. Mohini Barde, An experienced Vocal music artist and teacher, and Dr. Bhagyashree Chitnis, ‘B’ grade Staff artist of All India Radio graced the occasion, evaluated the Junior and senior Houses and extolled them.
The day of the cultural festivity galvanized the audience with bewitching performances from Junior Lily House. The session unfolded its wings with the invocation dance on ‘Ganesh Vandana’, regional folk dance ‘Brij ki Holi’ of India, well- scripted English skit ‘ Uncle Podger Hangs A Picture’, scintillating dance form of Russia and unique items depicting ’Circus’. The students of senior secondary displayed a high voltage program on the theme of ‘Women Empowerment’. The grand finale on the concluding day featured the impressive cultural program by the students of Bhavan’s Kochi who are visiting the school under the Cultural Exchange Program, a unique event carried out by the school to provide an opportunity to the students to explore cultures of different regions. The most talented and renowned Judge of the event, Shri. Rishikesh Pohankar gave his mesmerising performance showcasing on ‘Abhang’ Bhakti Ras.
All the outstanding performances in each category were awarded. In the junior category, Lily House remained victorious in three categories- Invocation dance, Regional Folk dance, and English skit respectively. The graceful danseurs of ‘Global Dance’ of Lotus House clinched the best in category, while the best unique item was shared by Daffodil and Jasmine House.
The senior maestros of Lotus House remained unbeatable in the categories of the best devotional songs and the regional dance. The English Skit, with a message on Use of social Media presented by Daffodil House was declared the best in the English Drama category. The rhythmic dance of ‘Russia’ by the Daffodil House won the best global dance award. The Lily House bagged the prize for best unique item. The other various awards which were given in different categories included best filler, best actor, best actress, best dancer, best anchor and judges’ choice. The most awaited of all, Lotus House was declared overall winner whereas the runners up trophy was bagged by Lily House.
The Principal Shri. Lalit Dinkar Joshi and the Vice-Principal Smt. Manisha Sharma applauded the efforts of all the students, teachers, their teamwork and the performances showcased during these five days. The Cultural Week Incharge, Smt. Ranjana Srivastava, Assistant Incharges, Shri. Dinesh Salunke and Smt. Saroj Sharma along with the entire staff and students worked hard to make this mega event a phenomenal success.

On the 13th of August, Bhavan's B.P. Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, honoured the students who managed to attend every single school day of the year. The ceremony was a lively event, showcasing the school's dedication to encouraging punctuality and dedication among its students. There was an air of excitement and pride as students, parents, teachers, and staff gathered to celebrate this achievement.
Addressing the gathering, on this occasion, the Chief Guest of the Ceremony, Yog Guru, Smt. Padmini Jog, Executive Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, Nagpur, enlightened the gathering with her words of wisdom. She shed light on the importance of ‘Namaskar’ and its immense value in life. She pronounced that the combination of love for school, discipline and cultured parents can only contribute to one’s regularity. Advising the students to become the best version of themselves, she further added to keep on thriving and keep growing in life. She voiced her opinions on fostering better parent-child relationship and ideal parenthood. Speaking to parents, she urged them to spend quality time with their children which would help in making them valuable citizens. She also stated that parents and teachers together can create wonders for children.
Earlier the ceremony commenced with the recital of Sarva Dharma Prayer, followed by welcoming of the Chief Guest Smt. Padmini Jog, and Dr. Kanchan Jaiswal, Vice chairperson, EPTA. The best part of the ceremony was when the students who achieved 100% Attendance Award were called up to receive their Trophies. In all, 102 students from Std. Nursery to Std. XII achieved this incredible feat. As each name was announced, the students walked up to the stage with pride, greeted by applause and cheers from everyone present. Their smiles and sense of accomplishment were truly heart-warming.
The 100% Attendance Award Ceremony at Bhavan's B.P. Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, was a wonderful celebration of dedication and hard work. It was a great reminder of the importance of regular attendance and the supportive community that makes it all possible. The event was brought to success by the sheer hard work and meticulous efforts of Smt. Sandhya Dani under the able guidance of Principal Shri. Lalit Dinkar Joshi.

Bhavan's Srikrishna Nagar organized a career fair, "Career Sail-A Voyage to the Future”, on September 21, 2024, tailored to provide students with the knowledge of opportunities to explore diverse career paths and gain valuable insights. Chief Guests Dr. Pankaj Chande, Chairperson SMC- Bhavan’s Srikrishna Nagar, Executive Committee Member- Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, Nagpur and Smt. Anju Bhutani, the academic coordinator and manager of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, Nagpur, inaugurated the Career fair and graced the occasion by sharing their expertise to inspire the students.
The event featured an interactive display of career opportunities prepared by the students under the guidance of teachers, Smt. Bhvishka Sugandh and Ms. Sheeba Sheikh. The event showcased more than 100 career opportunities across 20 subjects in addition to career paths in sports, NCC, as well as specialized paths for children with special needs.
Bhavan's Srikrishna Nagar welcomed back distinguished alumni, including Miss Anushka Jhawar (MBBS), Miss Mahima Khandelwal (Actuarial Consultant), Miss Rishi Gurve (Interior Designer), Miss Preksha Jhawar (Social Media Executive), Miss Nirali Jain (Clinical Psychologist), and Mr. Mukund Sarda (Practicing Chartered Accountant), who shared their professional experiences and offered expert advice to inspire the next generation.

Its never about the role - always about the goal'- it is with this aim, Bhavan's B.P.Vidya Mandir Srikrishna Nagar , Nagpur conducted election for the constitution of Students' Council following the democratic principles. The Investiture Ceremony is a platform to showcase the leadership skills and abilities of students and is the most prestigious ceremony in the schedule of school events.To give the students the feeling of being an integral part of the administrative body, 'Student Council' is formed every year. This momentous day dawned to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talents of the school to lead their school from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence. It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership.
The event was precided by the Principal, Shri Lalit Dinkar Joshi, who consigned the responsibilities to the newly appointed office-bearers. The newly elected Council leaders and members pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. A plethora of the display of art and culture was radiated on 24th December 2023, at Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur under the aegis of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, Nagpur.
The inaugural session commenced with the National Anthem, followed by ceremonial lighting of the lamp; recital of Sarva Dharma Prayer and offering of floral tributes by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The Chief Guest Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Honorable Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Trustee, Vice President, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan graced the occasion by his eminent presence. Shri Q.H. Jeevaji, Executive Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, Nagpur, welcomed the Chief Guest with a shawl, shrifal and a bouquet.

It was indeed a moment of glory for the Bhavanites which marked the release of books “Sri Ramayana Darshanam” and “Bharatmata Sadanam” at the hands of the distinguished Chief Guest Shri. Banwarilal Purohit, Honorable Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Trustee, Vice President, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. ‘Sri Ramayana Darshanam’ a pictorial presentation of Bhavan’s Sanskritik Kendra, is the magnum opus based on Hindu Epic Ramayana, with a deep philosophical understanding of the world. ‘Bharatmata Sadanam’, a tribute to motherland is a collection of all the mesmerizing paintings of 115 freedom fighters from 1857 to 1947 respectively.
The pursuit of excellence with unrestrained passion can lead to the accomplishment of wonders with unsurpassed joy which was quite evident when the students of Bhavan’s were accoladed with the most prestigious’ Kulapati K.M. Munshi Best Student Award’ instituted by Bhavan’s Sikshan Bharti. This award is based on the achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities. The proud recipients of the award were Ms. Disha Sunil Balpande, Bhavan’s Srikrishna Nagar, Ms. Manashree Ashtekar, Bhavan’s Ashti and Mast Ishan Ajay Kaduskar, Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar. They were awarded with medals, certificates and cash prize of Rs.10,000 each.
A rich profusion continued with the inauguration of ‘Shadanga-Art in Action’, embarking on a three day painting workshop.This event is a part of a Seven-Day Cultural Fiesta ‘Indian History Through Arts’, organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan,Nagpur and Bengaluru Kendra in association with Infosys. ‘Shadanga’ consists of the six limbs, or canons of art on which the whole art of painting depends.Talented artists from Government College of Art and Design will be taking us on the kaleidoscopic journey of painting by portraying various designs based on different periods of time in Indian History.
The distinguished Chief Guest in his didactic speech encompassed a wide spectrum of being true to self, righteousness, humility, simplicity to name a few. The reference of Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Mahatma Gandhi was given as role models for the society to follow. He opined that all the solutions of our problem lie in our sacred books, referring to Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita. Asserting the importance of NEP, Sir encouraged the gathering to bring Bhavan at the pinnacle, thereby also following the footstep of the Director, Smt. Annapoorni Shastri. He urged to protect, promote and preserve our Indian culture.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Smt. Sanghamitra Datta and Smt.Nandita Deshpande; Smt. Ratna Guha proposed a formal vote of thanks. Rao, Joint Director, Bhavan’s Bengaluru Kendra in the presence of Shri. Rahul Karangale, Principal consultant, Infosys, Shri K. M. Agarwal, Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Nagpur Kendra, Smt. Padmini Jog, Executive Committee Member, Nagpur Kendra, Dr Pankaj Chande, Executive Committee Member, Nagpur Kendra, Smt. Annapoorni Shastri, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra, Shri T. Three day workshop has been a part of Seven Day Cultural Fiesta ‘Indian History Through Arts’, organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur and Bengaluru Kendra in collaboration with Infosys. This Visual Art under one umbrella called ‘Shadanga’ was inaugurated on 24th December 2023 by Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Honorable Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Trustee, Vice President, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra. The accomplished creators from Government College of Art and Design carried the art lovers on a mesmerizing journey of painting by providing various strokes of their paint brush depicting different eras in history. The time period encompassing namely the prehistoric age, Rock Art, Tanjore Art, Rajasthani Miniature Painting, Ajanta Cave Painting, Indus Valley Art, Buddhist Art, Mauryan Art, Mughal Period to quote a few. Apart from the conventional brush the tools such as knives, sponges and airbrushes were used to transform a simple canvas into a masterpiece.
These paintings are displayed in the exhibition which is open for students and parents of Bhavan’s schools on 28th and 29th December 2023. Exhibition spans the art form from Pre historic Art around 5,000 years ago to the culmination of the modern era in the 21st century. The journey of art extends from the abstract philosophical concepts of Aryan origin in Vedic Art to the contemporary expressions of the modern era, exemplified by different visual artists. A large number of students and parents visited the exhibition and appreciated the creative display by artists of Government College of Art and Design.
The exhibition rose to its pinnacle of success under the adept expertise of revered principal of Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur Shri. Lalit Dinkar Joshi. With the steadfast support of Vice Principal, Smt. Manisha Sharma and the art teachers Shri Dinesh Salunke, Shri Sharad Rangari, Smt. Aruna Ubgade and Smt. Asawari Pusadkar, the entire programme was moulded meticulously.

From this, the top 30 teams from each region emerged, setting the stage for the second on-stage round. The subsequent round unfolded on the 12th of December 2023 at Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur, where the written elimination round determined the six teams advancing to the final on-stage competition.
The quiz, masterfully conducted by the esteemed Quiz Master, Shri Bhushan Patel, show-cased a commendable display of knowledge and enthusiasm from the participating students. Their responsiveness, thorough preparation, and adherence to the rules demonstrated a keen sense of commitment to the competition.
The level of the quiz competition was strategically aligned with competitive exams, providing students with an enriching experience that complements their academic pursuits. The pinnacle of the event saw Winning Team Centre Point School Dabha, qualifying for the Nationals to be held at Delhi. The Principal, Shri Lalit Dinkar Joshi, lauded the achievements of the winning teams and motivated all participants. Certificates and prize money were awarded to commend the students' efforts, acknowledging their dedication to both their cultural heritage and academic pursuits.
